Cocoa Run Privacy Policy

Cocoa Run is a game made by Gettmi Inc. Limited ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the game collects, why, and what you can do about it. If you have a question, email support@cocoarun.com.

Who the game is for

Cocoa Run is for players aged 13 and over in the United States. When you first open the game we ask for your birth year. If you are under 13 you cannot play. Your birth year stays on your phone and is never sent to us. We only keep a note that you are 13 or over.

If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we delete it.

Playing as a guest

You can play without an account. As a guest, your progress is saved on your phone. We still receive crash reports and the game events described below, tied to a random id, not to your name or email.

What we collect

When you sign in, we collect:

• Your email address, shared by Apple or Google when you sign in with them. If you use Sign in with Apple and hide your email, we only see Apple's relay address.
• An account id, and a username we generate for you. You cannot change the username at launch and it contains nothing about you.

Whether or not you sign in, we collect:

• Your game progress: medals, best times, attempts per level, streak, daily goal, runs left, Hot Shots, Diamonds and outfits. Recordings of your best runs (ghosts) stay on your phone.
• Your purchases: which plan or pack you bought and when. We use this to give you what you bought and to understand what sells. Apple handles payment. We never see your card details.
• Game events: when a run starts, finishes, is quit or retried, and when a purchase is made. We use these to balance levels and fix problems.
• Crash reports: what the app was doing when it crashed, your phone model and iOS version. These are not linked to your account.
• A push token, if you turn on notifications, so we can send a streak reminder or a sale alert.
• Bug reports you choose to send, with your phone model, app version, the level you were on and a screenshot if you add one.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

Ads

Cocoa Run shows rewarded video ads only when you choose to watch one, for example for an extra Hot Shot. The ads come from Google AdMob and are non-personalised: they are not based on your activity in other apps or websites. Google collects some device, ad and diagnostic data, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address, to show the ad, measure it and prevent fraud. This is not linked to your Cocoa Run account. Google's privacy policy explains how: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Tracking

We do not track you. We do not link what we collect with other companies' data for advertising, and we do not sell or share your information with data brokers.

Who helps us run the game

We use these services, and each one only gets what it needs to do its job:

• Supabase stores accounts and game progress.
• Apple and Google handle sign-in if you choose them.
• RevenueCat checks purchases with Apple.
• Google AdMob serves rewarded ads.
• Sentry receives crash reports.
• Expo delivers push notifications.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and progress while you have an account. Crash reports are kept for no longer than 90 days and then deleted. Guest data on your phone is removed when you delete the app.

Deleting your account

In the game go to Settings, Account, Delete account. After one confirmation we delete your account and progress from our servers straight away and sign you out. A plan you bought stays with your Apple Account: cancel it in your iPhone's subscription settings.

Your choices and rights

You can turn off notifications in the game's Settings or in your iPhone settings. You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@cocoarun.com. Depending on the state you live in, including California, you may have further rights. We will not treat you differently for using them. We do not sell or share personal information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the game.
